CPS wants to convert Ames Middle School to a marine academy

In December 2014 the CPS Board voted to convert Ames Middle School into Marine Math and Science Academy.  But the community is still fighting.  Signatures were secured to put the following question on the March 18th primary ballot in seven precincts in the Ames enrollment area.
