 “Mi Galaxia es Su Galaxia” (“My Galaxy is Your Galaxy”) will occur on March 8th, 2014 from 9:30 to 4:30. $5 reduced price tickets are available at the official website.

The Adler Planetarium, in partnership with Latino community organizations that understand the importance of the insertion of science and technology, welcomes Latino families into the exciting and universal world of science.  Meet Latino scientists & enjoy astronomy shows, activities, and lectures in Spanish. But it could be also an excellent opportunity for those families that are learning Spanish!  

From exploring planets around other stars to seeing faraway galaxies collide to understanding why we are all made of stardust, the Adler Planetarium inspires us to wonder, observe, and discover. Through this event and continued engagement, we hope to:understand the importance of the insertion of science and technology, welcomes Latino families into the exciting and universal world of science.  Meet Latino scientists & enjoy astronomy shows, activities, and lectures in Spanish. But it could be also an excellent opportunity for those families that are learning Spanish!

•       Strengthen the relationship between The Adler Planetarium and the Latino community

•       Provide Latino scientist role models for Latino youth to connect with and be inspired by to explore science, technology, engineering, and math related careers

•       Address the achievement gap between Latino and non-Latino students

•       Create a public space where Latino and youth from different communities can practice their Spanish
