Chicago Votes is always stirring up something new and exciting and our next event doesn't fall short of that! So we've parternered up with Young and The Young & Powerful Group and Illinois Humanities Council for our next big thing!

We are proud to announce our next FREE event: Chicago: Cloudy With a Chance of Democracy! This event will address the issues of democracy, civil rights and voting in Chicago and Illinois.

November 21st, from 6-9
Blue 1647 Innovation Center
1647 S. Blue Island Avenue
Chicago, IL 60608

(go.prairie.org)

We are having four totally awesome speakers that are the young leaders of Chicago:
* Reema Ahmad (Asian Americans Advancing Justice)
* Christian Diaz (Logan Square Neighborhood Association)
* Mia Henry (Freedom Lifted)
* Todd Belcore (Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law)
Each of which will provide their vision and critique of democracy in Chicago through lenses unique to their background and work; and engage the audience in a meaningful discussion at the end of the night. There will also be a spoken word performance by one of our super talented and cool Antonio Bacon!

This is a FREE EVENT with FREE FOOD!

Invite all your friends and family for a night of democracy and fun!
