Prayer Vigil for Peace
Over 75 members of the community joined the churches in Logan Square in a "Prayer Vigil for Peace and to Stop the Violence in our Community” on February 5th at the Logan Square monument. The Chicago Police Department 14th District Police Commander, Lucio Martinez, asked our neighborhood’s faith communities to address the issue of violence by coming together to pray for peace.
Nine local Pastors joined Bishop Jeffrey D. Lee (center) as they "Prayed for Peace" to stop the violence, with community residents at the Episcopal Church of the Advent.
