Strategy 6.1:

Many smaller companies in the area cannot afford to provide health care coverage for their workers.

LSNA and the Greater Northwest Chicago Development Corporation receiving funding for a pilot project in which the LSNA Health Team would begin to develop relationships with area companies, facilitated by GNCDC.

The Health Team then would have access to employees, to speak to the workers and let them know about the services they could potentially be eligible for, including KidCare and FamilyCare.

Results:

More than 50 workers have utilized services they learned about through LSNA.

Human Resource personnel at 16 companies are now aware of the programs and LSNA and refer their workers to LSNA directly.
