Cooper Lamps Business Recruitment
Strategy 5.3:
After the Cooper Lamps Task Force successfully saved the Cooper Lamps building from being converted to luxury residential loft condominiums, the LEED Council received a grant from LISC to work with the new owners to bring tenants to the building that would provide living wage jobs, incubate new or fledgling businesses and promote community interests, for example by providing space for a daycare center or health clinic.
Status:
The building is undergoing renovation by the new owners and will be ready for occupancy by early next year.
They are still working with the LEED Council and the Cooper Lamps Task Force to identify a strong anchor tenant.
