Over 1,000 LSNA Members at Immigration March

Logan Square residents were a visible presence as the march moved into the Loop.
(Nayeli is a second grade student at Brentano School. She marched with her mother, over a thousand LSNA members, and many other Logan Square residents. She wrote this essay for her teacher.)
There were over 100,000 people at a march on Friday, March 10. They were marching for immigrants who work in the U.S.A. A bill called HR4437 could become a law. If this bill becomes a law anyone who helps people that don’t have papers would get punished. I don’t like what they are going to do. I hope we win because I think people should not be mean to people that don’t have papers, and it makes me mad. I was part of the march on Friday. I felt proud to wave my American flag and say Si Se Puede, Yes we can! It is important to stand up for what you believe in.
