LSNA Offers Employment and Financial Services through Center for Working Families

Logan Square Neighborhood Association (LSNA) in partnership with Humboldt Park Social Services (HPSS) is now offering both employment and financial services through the newly established Center for Working Families (CWF). The Center, one of 11 in the city, has been brought to Logan Square by a grant from the Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC). The CWF is based on an emerging national model developed through the Annie E. Casey Foundation that includes an integrated system of services as a way of improving the financial wellbeing of low income families. The employment and financial services combines nicely with LSNA’s ongoing public benefits work centered on linking working families to low-cost health care. Linking residents to local jobs as well as helping people learn basic financial skills are key services to further support working families.
